Mail settings and Administration

In this section we explain how to setup and use your email accounts at ieaccess.com

Web messaging and User Administration

The IMail server allows users to check mail and administrate email accounts without installing any software. Its all done in your browser.

To login to the IMail server enter your domain name followed by :8383 For example, if your domain is example.com you would enter http://www.example.com:8383 into your browser. Another way to login is to use the ieAccess.com start page and click on E-mail. With this method you'r required to use your full email address for a username ie, mike@example.com Once logged in you should see your Administration options of the bottem right half of the screen.

Mail Client settings

All email accounts with ieAccess are POP3. What does this mean? POP3 is the internet standard for checking/downloading email. This alows you to check your email with Outlook Express, Netscape Mail, Lotus notes and countless others. How you add accounts into your client depends on your client. For Outlook Express on Windows you click on Tools and accounts. When the dialog box comes up click on Add->Mail..

If you have a domain use mail.yourdomain.com for your POP3 server. If you do not have a domain of your own use mail.ieaccess.com for POP3.

Note: Your SMTP address MUST be set to your ISP. If you use MTCO set it to mail.mtco.com. If this setting is incorrect you won't be able to send mail out.
